Shawn Flanagan, founder of Almaden Films, takes pride in surrounding himself with dedicated people of film. Attending film school and acting classes while doing Extra work on over a dozen films in the 80's, Flanagan landed an opportunity when he met Sean and Patrick Donahue of  Bottom Line Studios. Producers of High Action Stunt Films, Flanagan co-produced, wrote and acted in four feature films with Bottom Line Studios.

In December of '98,  Flanagan formed Almaden Films and teamed up with Dan L. Connolly of ACS, Armed Courier Service, and  went on to produce three feature films together. In 2001 Flanagan and Connolly received the "Low Budget Genius Award" at  the Silver Street International Film Festival,  for their work on "The Friggin' Mafia Movie", starring Richard Lynch and bay area radio personality, Rich Amooi. Flanagan recently completed "The Unwilling", a feature film written and produced with Anthony Santucci.

Patrick Donahue directed "Kill Squad" in 1980. The feature film was shot entirely in San Jose, in 35mm. Flanagan was lucky enough to get into the World Premiere of the film, even without a ticket. Flanagan did not know the Donahue's at the time.
