| Officer John Halloway sits at home alone on his 45th birthday, gazing at the one and only candle that sits atop a day-old cupcake. Frustrated, he makes no wishes and goes directly to bed. Suddenly, in the dead of the night, John is awakened by a cameraman who snuck in through the back door, and wants a ride along. John's strangest and most bizarre night of his career turns even more weird when he is ordered by his superior to train Officer Peter Swanco, a rookie who took his academy exams over the internet.
